Cybersecurity, is essentially the practice of deploying policies and procesess through technology to protect organizations, their critical systems, and their sensitive information from digital attacks.

Social-Engineering-Based Attacks
Social-engineering attacks focuses on exploiting users into giving away their personal information. Common methods that attackers will do is phishing, vishing, SPAM, spear phishing, etc. These are some of the most common types of attack. -
Password-Related Attacks
Attackers will deploy software of other techniques to find out commonly used passwords so they can exploit it to gain access to confidential information, data, or assets. Techniques may include Brute Forcing into your account, where the attacker will continually guess passwords, Password Spray, where attackers uses common passwords to attempt to access several accounts, or Dictionary Attack, where users will use a "dictionary" list to generate passwords. -
Ransomware
Malicious software is integrated into the victim's organizational systems and will "control" the OS and threaten the owner
with releasing data until the ransom is paid. -
Denial of Service Attack (DoS)
An attack meant to shut down a machine or network, making it inaccessible to its intended users. The way these attacks can initiate is through flooding their target(s) with traffic using large number of legitimate user accounts (i.e. employees, members, or account holders) of the resource they expected.
